This position is a direct report to the Director – SAP Center of Excellence (SAP COE). Responsible for strategy, planning, governance, coordination, scheduling, and execution of the PSEG SAP Integrated Landscape and Release Plan and Management Process to ensure high quality SAP solution delivery, continued system reliability and availability. While performing this role the candidate will: •Plan and manage the rollout of SAP Application Life Cycle Projects (LCP), Support Pack (SP), Enhancement Pack (EP), Functional Releases, Application Upgrades, HW and infrastructure changes in partnership with IT and Vendor development teams, IT operations, and other IT areas as appropriate •Project manage the annual functional SAP releases (3-5 per year), directing and managing the assigned release team resources including testing coordination leads. •Design, implement and manage Landscape, Release and Transport Management processes, standards, procedures and continuous improvement of these processes and policies to incorporate lessons learned and industry best practices. •Manage assigned SAP COE life cycle plan projects and actions, including budget forecasting and monthly variance analysis. Work with assigned Project Managers (PM’s) and Delivery Managers (DM’s) to ensure smooth integration of SAP COE LCP project into the landscape. •Conduct root cause analysis for process failure and post implementation reviews for lessons learned to prevent event recurrence and identify continuous improvement opportunities •Ensure the overall integrity of the SAP Landscape including Sandbox, Development, QA, Pre-Production, and Production environments through the implementation and management of processes and procedures for the movement of transports through the SAP landscape. •Develop and maintain appropriate process controls, metrics and reporting KPI’s for assigned processes. •Work with SAP Principal Architect(s) to evaluate new technological developments and evolving business requirements related to SAP Releases, Enhancement Packs, Landscape and Transport Management areas. •Prepare landscape / system change and improvements plans to meet the changing requirements of the ongoing projects, business strategies and the SAP LCP. Required Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience: •Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least four, typically six or more years experience in SAP systems consulting, programming, and/or project management, or without a Bachelors degree at least eight, typically 10 or more years of diverse work experience in SAP. •At least four years Program and/or Project Management experience. •At least two years working within and SAP Release Management process / environment •At least two years experience moving SAP enhancements / configuration through development QA and into productive systems •Experience working directly with large project teams, contractors, clients and end users. Desired Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience: •Advanced degree, e.g. Masters of Business Administration, MS in Computer Science or Information Systems. •PMP Certification. •Demonstrated experience with SAP change management processes and tools such as TMS, UC4, CTS+, and SAP Solutions Manager. •Proficiency with SAP toolsets including change impact analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting. •At least two years working experience with SAP transport logs and the SAP Transport Management Process. •Experience defining, implementing, and leading continuous improvement, root cause analyses and / or quality assurance best practice process improvement efforts. •Experience in one or more full project life-cycle SAP implementation experience involving ASAP methodologies •At least two years experience in SAP landscape planning and environment management. •Candidate must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity. •Successful candidate must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices.
