The successful candidate (s) will be hired into a temporary summer position as part of the PSEG 2014 Summer Internship Program. Assignments will be made across the various operating companies of Public Service Enterprise Group (PSE&G, PSEG Power, PSEG Services, PSEG Long Island) as needed to utilize the individual’s knowledge and experience to support operations within a wide variety of engineering and business opportunities. Assignments may include the following organizations within the company: Engineering, Construction, Accounting, Auditing, Communications, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Customer Solutions, Supply Chain, Renewables or Field Operations within our Newark headquarters or multiple field locations, including PSEG Nuclear, PSEG Fossil, or PSE&G Transmission or Distribution locations.
Desired Education/Skills: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in the Engineering or Business fields, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and an anticipated graduation date between 2015 and 2016. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. GPA information MUST be included on your resume for employment consideration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point Applications. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a safe driving record where required. Nuclear interns must also meet Nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.
PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period. We are targeting: Current students with GPA of 3.0 overall, living in the NJ/NY/PA metro area and able to commute to the assigned location. Housing, F-1 and HB-1 sponsorship will not be provided.
